Pros

The people are very friendly and have lots of energy.

Cons

The company is so poorly run that everyone who works there is currently interviewing elsewhere, hoping to get laid off, or just straight quitting. The company has taken on investors in the past year it has been horrible for the company because they have no integrity or regard for the culture and history of the company, and especially not the employees. The company's profitability is struggling, causing the the investors to want to move Jamberry into the retail space and away from direct sales. The company has had lots of layoffs recently as a result. Adam Hepworth, the CEO is a very nice and down to earth guy but he has no courage and lets the President (his college buddy) walk all over him and call the shots. The 3 sisters that started the company are so rich that they don't care about Jamberry or what happens to the company at all anymore. They act like they care but they invest about 30 minutes a week in the company, which is not a lot of time when you are the face, story, and brand of Jamberry. The worst of all though is Jared Richards, the President. He has lots of experience with start ups, but no experience managing a company of this size, and it is running Jamberry to the ground. He really is completely out of touch with the entire company. The directors dislike him and everyone talks bad about him, but to his face they act like best friends because he plays favorites within the company. He is very immature and dishonest with the employees and has created a toxic work environment. They have had several rounds of lay-offs, despite him repeatedly promising everyone that their jobs were safe. The company has laid off about 25-35% of their employees at this point. Layoffs happen in any company, but at Jamberry they are handled very deceitfully. You really can't trust anything Jared or the company says because they have lied about so many things. He also presents a moving target that he wants people to hit. Since he doesn't have experience running a company he doesn't know what he wants from his subordinates. You are left to figure it out on your own and you will be told different things in every meeting. Working with him is really hard and frustrating. He is very reactive as a manager and that has translated into the company culture as well. He doesn't anticipate changes and so when something comes up he focuses all resources on that issue, ignoring the bigger picture. Consequently, he expects directors to manage this way as well. The result eats up resources, destroys timelines, makes planning futile, and is short-sighted. It is a very low-yield management style and is one of many reasons the company is struggling. Because the company is doing so poorly there is no room for growth or advancement. Like I said, everyone is running to get out the door.

Pros

Relaxes atmosphere and great people to work with. Teams feel more like families. E-mails are sent out on a regular basis and team huddles help get information out quickly.

Cons

The supervisors pick favorites, and they're not afraid to show it. Many people only move up in the company for sucking up to their supervisors or by putting the blame on someone else. Policy constantly changes, which understandably causes upset consultants and escalated calls. Policies can be changed completely literally overnight. They're eager to open up in other countries, but don't stop to do the research on said countries before opening. The prices of wraps in UK, when converted to US dollars, is incredibly high (Nearly $22 per wrap!). Your opinion will not be taken seriously in the company unless you are higher up. Any feedback you suggest gets tossed aside. The company tries to do some kind of monthly celebration, which is great... Unless you're in the call center. The company celebrated with Cinco De Mayo. They had a nacho bar, music, and limbo. Employees got to spend an hour partying it up, while in the call center employees had 10 minutes to grab some nachos and run back to the phones with barely enough time to eat. Overtime is forced on employees and work is not distributed evenly. All agents are now assigned to be phone and ticket agents. However, there are still a number of agents who work only on tickets. The company forces outbounds on those who do not have the luxury of being ticket only agents. The most recent project was Jamberry's 'rediscover' program. If you're a consultant and you got a call asking you to come back, this is why. The investors who bought out Jamberry are looking to make a quick buck. This has caused countless agents to have anxiety and search for new jobs. Many agents came in because they were excited to hear that Jamberry was inbound only. The company is completely money hungry. Once investors came in it stopped being about consultants and quickly became about money.

Pros

Great people and a very relaxed atmosphere. Jamberry gave me a lot of opportunities to grow and better myself. The Consultants are fun to work with as well.

Cons

When I first began working there the company was great and I felt valued. As time went on though that change. I feel like they do not value their employees any more. The company got investor last summer and everything went downhill from that point. There were a lot of lay offs. A lot of companies do lay offs, but the way it was handled by Jamberry was very mean. The politics were awful here as well. There was so much drama and a lot of people wouldn't want to take the blame so they would pass it on to others. Nothing was communicated very well to the Consultants or the employees and things are constantly changing. One minute the answer was one thing and 5 mins later it was completely different.
