Pros

Decent work/life balance, game room, pantry (which is now dwindling), fitness classes, barbershop, modern office space.

Cons

At one point in time Jane was incredible. I couldn't imagine myself wanting to work anywhere else. However over the last few months, things have gone extremely down hill. Benefits like the pantry have been taken away, culture has completely changed (not the fun place it used to be), raises are promised but never given, and theres no room for career advancement. Don’t count on fair pay either. They try to make up for low salaries with the “perks” that they offer. However the majority of the perks are being taken away. Some employees tout their "transparency" when really they are just gossips. Most employees and even managers, take advantage of the lax work schedule and skip in and out of the office as they please. As another review mentioned, HR is not a safe place to voice concerns. They are also putting up fake 5 star glassdoor reviews instead of talking to employees about the real issues at hand. This place is going to crash and burn in a matter of months if they don't get rid of incompetent employees and turn things around. Layoffs have been delayed by so many people quitting. Not to mention firing several employees at random. I’m terrified for my job security and I have started to look for jobs elsewhere.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We’re sorry you’ve had this experience while at Jane. We recognize that perks have been changing over the past year and that it has been a challenge for our Janesters. That has been an extremely difficult decision for us to make. Any changes made to a perk (like our pantry) have been in an effort to help prepare Jane to scale and grow. As for our workplace culture, scheduling has been flexible so long as people are completing their work and collaborating with their managers. If that’s something you’re not currently experiencing, we’d love to learn more about your specific situation. We recommend you take it to your manager or anyone on our HR team. As a department, Jane’s People Operations team has occasionally requested reviews, but have always encouraged transparency. We are proud of the work HR does and the protection they provide Jane employees. If you have had a different experience, or don’t feel comfortable speaking with HR, we would like to encourage you to share your concerns with the head of your department. We are right in the thick of helping Jane grow, and it’s something we are really excited about. We hope you stay along for the ride!

Pros

Lots of food for staff members, decent benefits, cool group activities and parties

Cons

Too many to list. For starters the sexism is strong at this company. The CEO totes it on the outside as a place to empower women and stay at home moms, yet he is completely phasing them out on purpose for people who can work in the office. Male counterparts make significantly more than female employees. The women are viewed as replaceable and valuableless minions who will do the grunt work without question as the CEO believes he is a god among men and if you don't believe he is doing you a grand service of letting you work at his company he can replace you at the snap of a finger with someone who would do it for less. The misogyny is strong with this one. Geez there are so many cons I couldn't possibly name them all.
