      Reminds me of Mayweather vs. Pacquiao: Tons of Hype, Huge Disappointment

      Pros

      - Hot IoT market - Notable customers in key verticals (automotive, security, robotics, etc.) - Open facilities, patio area, plenty of lounge space - Catered lunch (once a week), fruits, snacks, breakfast, cheeses, yogurt, etc. - Strong partnerships with mobile operators around the world - Loads of upside potential

      Cons

      - Widening chasms between management and staff - Culture is not conducive to open and direct conversations - Moving goal lines => constant pivoting => poor morale - Individual success put before team/company success - Silo’ed groups and poor synergy across departmental lines - Lack of foresight around technology/program execution

      Pros

      As others have said, there are some really sharp people that work there. Jasper is also the current leader in the Internet of Things space which is a very hot segment.

      Cons

      There are also some less than sharp people that are holding the company back. Recently there have been lots of nepotism in the hiring and promotion process.

      Morale is on a downturn

      Pros

      Potential IPO...for those patient enough to wait until it happens.

      Cons

      Other than IPO, not much to recommend about the company. Morale is at an all-time low. Worst department may be engineering which is run like a cult. The leader feels he is qualified to tell people how they should think and live their lives. Not a typical silicon valley company at all. Has no real company culture and only minimal attempts at team-building.
