Don't Fall Victim

Pros

A convenient location, clean bathrooms.

Cons

Ownership and management treats you like a number instead of a person. The company routinely reduces staff by laying people off because it cannot sustain long term client contracts. This cycle has gone on for years and will never change because of management strategy.

Jay Group Not Good

Business outlook

Pros

I have my own locker.

Cons

I work with temp agency for over year for Jay Group but have not been offered regular employment status. Supervisors not professional. Management speaks to warehouse team couple times and tells us things that do not come true.

Pros

Relaxed dress code and attendance policy

Cons

Inability of HR to provide qualified candidates for open positions. Management acquiescing to HR's negative perception of otherwise qualified internal candidates for advancement opportunities. Dearth of training for new hires because incumbents are long gone and cannot assist in training their replacements. This causes stress on the department as existing staff needs to train new hire while managing their own full work load. Low wages and high cost of benefits compared to identical job descriptions in the SE PA market. Novice leadership put into place due to nepotism lacks knowledge, discipline, aptitude and focus of predecessor yet still repeats same mistakes. Open positions "filled" within my department by cast-offs of other parts of the company. Morale is low for multiple reasons but one common gripe is that people are hired off the street at a higher wage than existing employees in the same position.
