Worthy Cause, Poor Leadership

Recommend

Pros

Employees have passionate hearts for the mission, are kind, and want the best for the organization and their colleagues.

Cons

Top talent has either been let go or has chosen to leave since new leadership was put in place, leaving a huge gap of historical knowledge. More employees have plans to leave in the next 6 months. Went from a mission-focused, employee-appreciated organization to a fear-based, distrustful organization.

Lack of Leadership

Business outlook

Pros

A wonderful organization that for more than 40 years have reached people across the US and beyond with a message of hope in Jesus through music, encouragement and resources.

Cons

This organization has lost its way with recent changes from expanding media platforms to turning back to its focus on the shrinking radio market. Board and key leadership changes over the past 12 months have put it in jeopardy.

We appreciate your feedback. We care about our team members, and we are implementing more opportunities for our team members to get to know the heart of our ministry leadership team and the executive team. Our ministry leadership team has implemented several new avenues to serve and support a growing audience through several new platforms. Our mission is exciting when we take time to imagine what's possible and how we can continue to serve a growing audience and the ability to influence them to move closer to Jesus Christ.

Pros

Praying openly for and with one another. Meaningful mission. Use to be a place where upward mobility was possible and people truly cared about one another. Talented creatives, engineers, financial minds and other professionals.

Cons

Change in executive leadership (CEO) in 2023 caused a severe decline in integrity, empathy, mission-focus and culture. If you aren't apart of the "good ole boys club" you won't have any influence, impact nor respect. Any positive reviews you see, check the dates. They're mostly pre-2023.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. This was a really tough one to read and heartbreaking to know that you feel this way about the new leadership. We value your service of 9+ years and appreciate the impact you had while serving in the ministry. We know that change is difficult. The new leadership is being very diligent in creating a safe and transparent culture. Team members are being given opportunities to get to know the heart of the new leadership team in town halls, table talk luncheon, and new hire luncheons with the ministry leaders. We are seeking to hear and understand the hearts of our team members. Together our desire is to draw more people closer to Christ and leading by example. We are sincerely sorry that this wasn't your experience. We value your feedback, and we care about you.
