Perfect location, interesting environment, collaborative departments. Loved the break room, bistro, BBQ's and off sight meetings.
Cons
My team was very cliquey, which lead to resentment and a hostile work environment. I had a direct Manager who was bossed around by his team, and a senior team member who was a power hungry, micromanager who wanted our bosses job. She and the rest of the clique made my time there miserable. The lack of racial and gender diversity within management and staff is absolutely evident, and the treatment you face as a POC is even worse. After I left, I met NUMEROUS former employees that experienced the same thing I went through of being pushed out of their team through underhanded behavior and no one to turn to for support. Just for background I have over 9+ years of experience in my field and was highly recommended and PROMOTED internally to KFMB, only to experience disgusting behavior from my teammates with no resolve. I just want future employees to seriously take my words in consideration. I am not the first person this has happened to, nor the last. It was isolating and abominable. Go somewhere that will respect your worth, allow you to advance, and grow as a professional and won't place you in a box which you can't ever escape from. Aside from the terrible team dynamic my self and others experienced, I was able to connect with quite a few folks in my department and elsewhere quite easily ,and made connections that lasted well after I left. The funny thing is they allow the worst behavior from the right person and turn their heads, but if you don't fit in with the clique you are targeted and pushed out no matter how beneficial you are. #bullyculture
