- Former Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
CEO, Culture, Friends, Autonomy and Office space
Cons
During covid it was a bit lonely
- Former Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
The catered lunches (pre covid) were nice.
Cons
You work from home due to pandemic but with your own equipment. Nothing is provided by the company. New director is at hand at LA office but only works for his own good and not oversee the real needs of the teams in charge.

Pros
- There's some very nice developers doing their best to contribute, grow, and collaborate.
Cons
- Currently bleeding the talent who knows how to make games, in favor of hiring more "cooks for the kitchen". People who have next to zero interest in the gaming industry outside of making themselves a fortune, and only bring draconian business acumen to the table. They're the ones who are going to cram their weird copycat ideas down the developer's throats. - Reduced interest in paying developer talent a competitive salary compared to other companies in the same space, operating in the same cities. This company has let go of too many good people to companies who will pay them more to do less. And Kabam doesn't care. What ever they can do to get the old guard out, and replace them with a new and loyal new guard. - A particular project has generated all of the revenue for the company. The people who still represent a time where Kabam was exciting and growing, and are still on this project, are left in manacles to manage this project indefinitely. No opportunity to move forward and drive new ideas. Those roles go to people who have lead failed projects or are recently new to the company from a failed stint elsewhere. So it seems to be fostering a culture of, "If you do well, don't expect any promotion or compensation. Those opportunities go to those who who haven't yet succeeded". I can think of an example where one person was placed in a rather good position simply because they "needed a win".

Pros
+ Company concern about what we think + Balanced workload + Hybrid work policy at the moment
Cons
- The biggest game project ran over years (but there is a new one upcoming!)
- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Great benefits and great people.
Cons
Work is very boring and not challenging for me. I wanted to take on more but they were so understaffed I never got the chance. When theybare well staffed the job is great and lost of room to grow

Pros
Great environment for growth and learning
Cons
Level of direction the company is going is sometimes questionable
- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Some of the main reasons that kept me working at Kabam for as long as I did, were truly the amazing people that I met there. Other than that, there is not a lot going for this company.
Cons
The pay had to be probably one of the worst things about this place. Letting your employees live paycheck to paycheck in one of the most expensive cities in the country is just straight up disappointing. For a company who preaches culture and the importance of it’s people, the pay absolutely does not reflect that. Additionally, there were so many changes when it came to directions of different products and the communication about that was VERY MUCH lacking which caused a lot of frustration.

Pros
Amazing team and amazing workplace
Cons
The onboarding was a little confusing
- Current Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
-Not micro managing -Progressive work environment with good/passionate people -Decent projects and work load - Good RFT conversion/benefits/salary
Cons
-Career progression not the best - Job Security not great at the moment (closed down studios, lots of churn, and project cancellations) - Some tech debt needs addressing and better interstudio communication
- Current Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
Benefits are pretty good. Team members are a lot of fun
Cons
The technology stack is VERY outdated and there doesn't seem to be any leadership in getting this changed.
