Pros

Kemira is a company where you can grow as fast as you can. There is literally no limit nor timeframe. You make it or brake it.

Cons

I had to think long and hard to find a con. Probably the fact that when I worked there, all the members of the BOD (incl the Joint-ventures) were Finish. Am sure this bothered some people. However this did not bother me as our visions and missions were always aligned regardless culture or language.

The benefits are mediocre The co-workers were great The company does not terminate employees for major mistakes You get a lot of experience doing jobs other than your own

Cons

The pay is not competitive. The management chain, starting at the CEO all the way to local managers, may have enough vision to see their nose. The tier for pay is horrible. There is over $10 difference per hour between the top and bottom. The company will lay off, recall, and lay you off two weeks later starting that it is too slow to keep you. However, it's too busy to let you take PTO.

Cons

Leadership in the US doesn’t know how to operatein that US. Recklessly spends money on travel without considering budget and ability to skype. If you’re not Finnish, forget moving up.
