Pros

A lot of good coworkers to share laughs with, and people that genuinely care about their responsibilities on a consistent basis.

Cons

I would steer clear of this position. Every few months a perk/benefit is taken away from us. KeyMe is clearly going in the wrong direction as far as their employees well being/benefits are concerned. We started off with unlimited vacation days when I was hired. That has since been taken away - but only for Ops! The rest of the company still enjoys this nice perk. They also just changed us from salaried to hourly employees. In the process we lost the chance to accrue "float days", by working on holidays, which was the only way to boost the low amount of default vacation days given per year. Everyone has the same amount of PTO days, despite working here for 4 years, vs a new hire. That doesn't quite make sense, now does it? This divide between department vs management that comes from non-uniform decisions like this is why good people are getting upset, and leaving. You are going to implode the very departments in which you lead, and this has already been exhibited once. You would think management would learn from their mistakes, but it appears they want to double down instead. Why not be a little more appreciative of the people putting in the holiday hours and working hard? People in Ops have to deal with a consistently descending benefits being forced upon them, which get zero input from the employees themselves before being initiated.

Pros

Was good at one point.

Cons

This place used to be a COOl place to work at, but now it feels as if we are on a sinking "Shyp." Incoming management killed this company's culture. Lack of loyalty to hard working employees has been a frustrating experience. They are constantly removing the perks that made working at this company worthwhile.

Pros

Your coworkers are some of the nicest, most competent people out there. They do good work (across all teams!), and the engineering is top notch. The code base is organized, and engineers have the autonomy to try bold new projects. Free food in the kitchen.

Cons

It used to be a "work hard, play hard" kind of place, but has turned into "work hard, then go home." Over the years, upper management has slowly killed the perks that made KeyMe such a great place. Friday afternoon drinks, generous vacation time, and flexible work schedules are gone. The budgets for company outings, yearly parties, etc. have not kept pace with headcount. There hasn't been hot water for months because the water heater broke and upper management decided it wasn't worth fixing. As the company grows, outside people are brought in for new senior roles, so not much chance of career advancement.
