Not much chance to move upwards in the company. A lot of repetitive work (which is not necessarily a bad thing for everyone).

Low pay, stressful, high expectations, and constantly changing policies without notice to their advantage. There's too much to do since they count hours so that too few staff are working at a time. For example, they want at most 3 employees to do closing duty including the supervisor, tasks such as packing, cashiering, covering produce, counting money, moving items and equipment inside the store and cooler etc. within a short amount of time. They still use slow 20+ year old computers that break down frequently.

- Customers are always right - Customers are always put first, manager didn't care about what was right or wrong, he wanted to make sure that the customer was happy. He did not care about his employee getting yelled at.

Fear of management, many of the Chinese speaking employees talk about non Chinese speaking employees behind their back, winter is cold due to the open environment of the store, very hot in the summer and lots of wasps (got stung 6 times during the summer).
