Pros

Great pay for interns and you are able to learn a lot about different divisions. Good chance of getting hired post-internship. Since a lot of employees stay at Komar for years, there is a sense of community and family. Benefits are good and salaries are competitive. Overall, I learned a lot here and got a solid foundation and experience for my resume.

Cons

The company is huge, which makes it hard to move up the ladder and be promoted. Things can be slightly clique-y between different departments. There is a good amount of gossip since everyone knows everyone personally. Senior Management can be seen taking advantage of days off and other policies, while the rest of the employees witness this and feel taken advantage of.

Pros

Nice view in Jersey City

Cons

A lot of layoffs and more to come. Getting rid of employees in U.S. so their company in Sri Lanka can takeover. Low pay, unappreciated. Terrible management.

Pros

Free clothing for your kids (if you don't mind knowing that most of the garments made by this company are made with chemicals and the complete opposite of 100% cotton). CEO is super nice and positive but it's not like he sees the office politics and constant struggle the employees go through daily against each other trying to get a single garment produced.

Cons

Working at this company is depressing and stressful despite being filled with colorful kids clothing. You get to design tons of cute designs only to have a few (that you didn't even like) picked for production. There's a lot of lack of communication or just no talking between employees. Supervisors either micromanage projects or busy making sure you're keeping busy. You also discover the cut throat environment of mass produced children's clothing where the company and buyers demands the best for the cheapest price and cheapest material. All the clothing is made over seas and often discussions with the factories are lost in translation or the Production staff will just ignore you. Have fun explaining that to your supervisor. And what is even up with FR clothing, the material is disgusting and young children shouldn't be exposed to it at all.
