Pros

The hours are easy, and people are easy to work with for the most part. lots of exposure to managers as well.

Cons

The culture is really bad, and the turnover is really high. Work also gets extremely repetitive

Pros

Lot of exposure early on; working with significant large client and strategies. Get plenty of exposure to portfolio management. Work life balance depends ultimately on senior consultant and type of clients. Barely any weekend work

Cons

Pay is low; development is limited and very monotone. Dont really get to create value apart from the typical work. Creativity is often shut down and promotions are very limited

Pros

Great for someone coming out of college or another firm with little experience to gain wealth management exposure. You learn a lot about institutional investing. Great work life balance and little micro managing. Most are very friendly.

Cons

Pay is significantly lower than it needs to be. Issues with turnover for the analyst departments for this reason. Unlikely to get a promotion unless you acquire a certification or MBA. Hard work and loyalty is not rewarded it’s expected. Heavy focus on optics.
