The one redeeming quality of Lakeba is its proximity to the beach. However, even this small positive aspect is overshadowed by the sheer dread that comes with stepping foot into the office.

I had the unfortunate experience of working at Lakeba, and I can confidently say that it was one of the worst professional environments I've ever been a part of. This company's treatment of its employees is nothing short of appalling. From the moment I stepped through their doors, I could sense the toxicity that permeated the workplace. The management's behavior towards employees can only be described as bullying. They have no qualms about belittling and demeaning their staff, often in front of others. It's as if they take pleasure in asserting their dominance and crushing any semblance of self-esteem. Promotions and bonuses are promised but never delivered. It's clear that the company has no intention of rewarding hard work and dedication. The only "promotion" that seems to exist is within the family members who run the business. They look out for their own while the rest of the employees are left to fend for themselves. The company culture is toxic to its core. It's disheartening to witness a supposed "family business" that only cares about its actual family members. They exploit company funds to fuel their extravagant lifestyles while the rest of us struggle to make ends meet. The lack of transparency is shocking - they boast about deceiving their employees and manipulate them into thinking they're lucky to even have a job. The company's unethical behavior extends beyond their treatment of employees. The entire operation reeks of deceit and scams. They're constantly scheming to swindle more money from investors and clients, with no regard for the repercussions. Reading recent articles in the AFR confirms what I suspected during my time there - this company thrives on lies and shady practices.
