Nepotism anyone?

Pros

Do you like working long hours and weekends? Do you like being compensated poorly for the time, effort and talent you put into your work? Do you appreciate people that care more about their own back pockets than they do the welfare and success of a company and the people that work for it? Do you appreciate being told by your CEO that “you are expendable”? (yes that really happened) Do you like working for a company that hires you because you're related or you're good pals with one of the higher ups? Do you dig poor management, idiocy and severe lack of professionalism? Do you like not being given advanced notice that you are getting laid off? If you have answered yes to one or more of these questions then you are going to LOVE working at CTS! I will miss my co-workers from my department.

Cons

Need I repeat myself? Also, poor project planning and time management. Poor communication skills.

Pros

I didn't experience any Pros while working for this company.

Cons

IMHO, the owners of this company have no business being in business. Management is inept and afraid to fight for what's best for the employees and the business as a whole. It's difficult to fight against your own family members - whether it's your husband, brother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, son, nephew, etc. So many family members have come and gone, leaving a trail of bad feelings in their wake, yet friends and family with little or no experience are preferred over those with knowledge and experience in this field. The extreme nepotism has created a culture where everyone fears losing their job, and feels they have no one to turn to when management needs to be made aware of serious situations. The situation is truly shameful.

Pros

reliable work and income.

Cons

poorly compensated in comparison to work load. ridiculous schedules that frequently changed. high turnover rate of interpreters because there was literally NO support for them. high expectations with no incentives. also had to deal with a significant amount of sexism and racism within the work place, so watch out!
