Pros

LPW is an organisation that genuinely puts children and young people at the centre of everything. The work feels meaningful and you can see the difference it makes in communities. Strong culture of teamwork; colleagues are passionate, skilled, and always willing to help. Great opportunities to grow – whether through training, mentoring, or taking on new responsibilities, you’re encouraged to develop. Flexible and understanding workplace that recognises the importance of work-life balance. A values-led organisation where inclusion, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice are not just words, but lived every day.

Cons

Like many charities, resources can sometimes be stretched – but the passion and commitment of the team more than make up for it.

Pros

Pros are the PEOPLE - LPW hire amazing people. Everyone has the same idea when it comes to supporting young people, and everyone is friendly and open here. I really believe the people make LPW so brilliant. Benefits are great, there is a gympass subscription which means you get discounted gym and wellbeing apps on premium subscriptions. Decent holiday, with an extra day off in February as a wellbeing day - essentially a shut down day. We also have clinical supervision termly which really helps to unpack the work we have been doing. Workload is varied so things never feel boring or samey. LPW is on a huge journey at the moment with a new strategy being put in place. It really feels like this is super positive and will suport people in their development/progression/workload etc.

Cons

As we are all over the city working, sometimes I don't see some of my colleagues as much as I would like to - although in summer we do lots of work together, so that is a great oppurtunity to work in unison!

Pros

Great staff team and inclusive culture. All staff are encouraged to share their thoughts, feelings and views. I've worked here for 8 years and have been supported to develop in my role. There are really good benefits like an extra day's wellbeing leave, gym pass, hot meals for staff (term time), team days and increasing leave based on length of service.

Cons

I don't have a negative thing to say.
