      Supportive Place to Work with Friendly Library Team

      Pros

      The Library team were very welcoming and friendly, as well as the rest of the staff on campus. It was rewarding to help students and I always enjoyed being on the front desk because of this.

      Cons

      The Library can get very busy in exam season and managing the 'quiet zones' can be a constant battle at times. Some of the students were challenging in terms of behaviour, which I hadn't expected to have to deal with in a University setting.

      Good salary, working hours and conditions.

      Cons

      Support staff not supported in disputes/issues with students. H R support totally useless when there are problems or issues with staff. Lack of communication between services. Support staff are not valued in spite of their contributions.
