Burnt out Management
Terrible communication
Uncertainties of what you’ll do when you get to work; it’s constantly changing.
Lack of training (there is none)
Staff morale is SO low.
Higher ups are more interested in making money than running a successful business. The majority of the staff speaks Spanish, so realistically, everyone should be able to in order to communicate. Overtime is so real here, so if you have a life, this isn’t where you want to work because your life is second to this job.
As with every floral job, holidays are rough. This place is on crack compared to most floral jobs, and the lack of communication and expectation of staff to work overtime makes it even worse. There can be last minute orders on a Friday and you’ll be expected to work the weekend too, but no you will not get Monday off.
I’ve been in this industry for a long time, and I’ve never seen such a large operation with so many troubling problems. It’s a shame that they care so little about their staff, especially those that love this business and want to do amazing things.
