Pros

Heavy focus on collaboration and hiring the right people for the right roles. Great work life balance. Salary, benefits and PTO are all good. Client base is wonderful to work with and employees truly believe in the work they provide.

Cons

Leadership tends to have initiatives discussed amongst themselves without gathering input from the employees or even managers handling the day to day work. Data on efficiencies is just now being collected and often managers have to fight against senior employees "feelings" on how well things used to be done. That can be very disheartening.

Pros

Unlimited PTO The best culture and people I’ve worked with in my entire career. No egos, no judgement, just fun hardworking people. Competitive benefits. I’ve never asked for a raise yet I’ve gotten 3 in 2 years. They reward quality hard work

Cons

Things get lost or forgotten about which is the nature of a rapidly growing company. Not much else to note

Pros

Lots of companies talk about having a good culture, but Level Data takes it seriously. Their core values of putting their customers first, having fun, speaking out with critiques and new ideas, and not tolerating jerks are lived out by everyone, especially leadership. That has created an environment where people truly feel valued and seen. The leadership team works very closely with staff at every tier and works hard to ensure nobody is left out of the loop. They're growing rapidly, but remain focused on taking care of the staff - that's a great sign to see that an employer put such emphasis on their employees' wellbeing. Other benefits - generous PTO time, company-paid gym and Costco/Sam's Club membership, outstanding 401k plan.

Cons

Communication and planning aren't always the best, leading to occasional cross-team confusion. While the salaries are fairly competitive, the company's health insurance could be improved. Not very diverse - the vast majority of employees are men.

Pros

Remote, unlimited time off, flexibility for appointments etc, generous number of company holidays, good benefits, meaningful/variety of work, good people/culture, supportive managers, opinions/input actually matter, no red tape

Cons

No objective performance metrics, but in fairness it is hard to measure and my manager has always been happy. Salary could be better, and no meaningful bonuses despite being profitable. Not much room for upward growth being a relatively small company. I feel I have “plateaued” in my role. Speed > Quality. Not many “exciting” technologies. Level Data recently acquired two other Ed-tech companies with plans for more, but suspiciously, our senior leadership team was restructured and now only includes folks that from the acquired companies except for the CFO. Additionally, they eliminated some of those redundant leadership positions, also suspiciously all people from Level Data. It’s not a good look and doesn’t inspire trust in leadership, and I have talked to coworkers who share the same feelings.
