Pros

- None - Nothing - Nada

Cons

So I worked at lifelabs during the Pandemic at YVR as a collection assistant. We processed saliva samples from travelers fresh off of the plane and sent them to the lab for testing. We risked our safety and worked long hours standing up to ensure Canadians remained safe. How did we get treated? A strongly worded letter from HR threatening to call the police on us if we didn't return there parking pass. You heard that right. When leaving the job we were never asked to return the pass. and in addition the company had our phone and email information (even sending job alerts weekly) We would graciously return the pass however we were not even instructed to do so. All it would have taken was a phone call or an email. I called the number on the letter and it turns out the manager was never informed of the letter being sent out in her name. She more confused then us. This level of disrespect towards front line workers (some of us even caught covid) is absolutely unforgivable

Pros

- Lots of great coworkers - Better pay than many places - If you like being bored there are often large gaps in time

Cons

- Pay still isn't great - Management is highly disorganized - Management cares more about company image than doing a good job - Power-tripping is common - Management is lazy
