They don't care about paying you

Pros

Work from home option (3 days a week)

Cons

Ever since they moved into the new office, they are cutting costs left and right. They (CEO) stress about health insurance costs and made a point at a company meeting to say the best way to keep costs down was to not get sick. So, what do they do after the move to the new office, they decided to stop giving free gym memberships and gave employees a two week notice that the were cancelling everyone's gym membership. Another thing they did was change compensations plans right before months end and put that if you don't make 70% of your quota you don't get any commission. This normally wouldn't be an issue at most sales companies, but the quotas here have been raised so high that you hardly ever saw any rep even hit 100% and many that don't even reach 70% normally. If you work hard and reach your goas, you are only penalized because they keep raising quotas beyond a reasonable level so they don't have to pay you. This company used to seem like a family but things have drastically changed and all they care about now is not paying their reps and only paying upper management big salaries. They don't care about turnover and just want to attract younger employees to keep healthcare costs down, pay a low wage, and screw people over when it comes to compensation. I used to love working here, but the last few years it has gone down hill fast. It is painfully obvious to everyone how little they care about employees anymore. The days of employee recognition and appreciation are long gone. Everyone I know including myself who has left is much happier and has a lot more money in their pocket. Another big con is that they send out surveys where they use the results against the employees and terminate anyone who speaks up.

Value, not growth company

Pros

Some very good people working for the company. Trying to distinguish itself as a value distributor. Recent new leadership brought has experience. Financially consistent. A 'feel safe' place to work. Employees have done really nice things to take care of coworkers who were having personally difficult times.

Cons

Leadership lacks inspiration and vision. Passive aggressive. Open door policy, just do not tell a leader there is a mole on their face, even though it is plain site. Not a place to professionally learn and grow. CEO is unprofessional with the level of flirting done in office. New leadership is inconsistent, shows little respect verbally and non-verbally to employees. Rule 1, leadership is always right, rule 2, if I am wrong, refer to rule 1.
