      Organization unraveling

      Pros

      Had reasonable benefits and culture before fall of 2010. Great rank and file employees who cared about clients and products. Great work location.

      Cons

      Several significant management decisions served as a catalyst for a large number of employees to leave the company including most of the long-term intellectual property leadership. Something is really broken when almost a third of your company walks out the door over 4-5 months. I would not recommend anyone leave a current job to to work here.

      Pros

      Local Matters is known for its innovation and excellence in local search and there are some great engineers and business support staff there.

      Cons

      A lot of good engineers and product staff are leaving. It doesn't seem as if current management values the knowledge base.
