Pros

You are surrounded by smart, intelligent and highly driven coworkers who are dedicated to their roles. This is the reason Lottoland lives and breathes today. The product is also fantastic and the company will go far if it sorts out a number of individuals within the senior management.

Cons

Dealing with founding members. They decide everything and anything with "dictator syndrome". There is also a huge disconnect between the two offices in Hamburg and Gibraltar. The only way to communicate between the two teams is through one of the founding members and it's impossible to come up with any process, structure or get the team to work with you unless you have one individual on board. Any process is spoilt with ridiculous decisions from the just a couple of individuals. And there is no freedom or possibility to focus on what is needed. Their claim of a "start-up" mentality is absolute nonsense. I left the company 2 months ago and absolutely nothing has changed on the site in all that time. No products, no improvements, nothing. That's not very start-up in my view. The only "start-up" mentality that appears to be embedded is the long workings hours and the ridiculous 6pm meetings initiated by the senior management. It's not uncommon to leave the office at 8pm so if you value a work/life balance, Lottoland is certainly not for you.

Pros

They offer a relocation package - if you're looking to move to Gib, use them, ya know.

Cons

It's pretty pathetic when a new HR member comes on Glassdoor to write a review. If that doesn't tell you all, you need more experience. To cut to the chase - Lottoland pays less than any other employer in Gib. Besides that, your opinion counts as long as the CEOs think you should feeld good about them. In the end, their opinion counts, it does ot matter how moronic it is. It's a dictatorship, not a democracy. If you are a youg girl, senior management and CEOs will try to get to know you outside business hours. Don't. Do not voice your opinions regarding the company towards anybody. The company works very selective, it does not matter if you are the best at your jobs, it matters only if you are kissing you-know-whats. Do not rely on your employees' right, at least be prepared to fight for them. Don't fall for the cuckoo start-up-mentality. Be prepared to work assive overtime for nothing. Those bonuses? Only certain people get them. They have nothing to do with talent / performance etc.

Pros

They describe themselves really nice and make you feel welcomed and valued, for about 3-4 weeks.

Cons

Reading some of the previous reviews makes me laugh. Google offices??? Maybe those HR employees have never stepped into some Google offices (and I firmly believe so judging how competent they are- google has some standards). The office is fine, decent but calling it similar to google would be an offence for google. Working hours: - pure slavery. You come at 9 and leave when you are lucky enough. Management: some ok, most of them a bunch of teens with a very good image about themselves but little to no knowledge and even less professional approach, taking everything to a very personal level. Just dare to have a different opinion and you are fired within the next 30 seconds.
