      Company in financial difficulty

      Pros

      Nice team members, Big canteen space & Annex building, Free vending machine inside pantry

      Cons

      Bonus freeze, hiring freeze, No increment, Low tech node (6" wafer fab), No innovation, LED industry is dying, Company was spin off from Philips, Philips sold it off to Apollo (says a lot why Philips sold off its own LED division) and the company was already in dire financial difficulty in 2020 (even before Circuit Breaker / lockdown started).

      Pros

      Good work life balance. Nothin much seriously. No DND? Is that consider a pro? Layoff compensation is not that bad.

      Cons

      No job security. 6 layoffs in the past 5 yrs. CEO also change 5 ppl in the past 5 yrs. Poor business outlook and decision. Forced leave mandatory (abt a week) every year at least once. Poor canteen food. Very little increment (only encountered twice in 5-6 yrs). Only 2 bonus thru out 5 yrs too. (less than a month). Employees can't put in best effort thinking tomolo might be their turn to get layoff.

      - Philips looking to sell Lumileds piece by piece - No job security - No management direction because they also not sure their future - business de-growth because no right LED product in the market - LED technology is far behind
