The lower level employees are great to work with.

Cons

Once lower level employees move up, they become unreasonable. Corporate does not care about the employees. Management no longer has the guts to stand up for their employees. Racist supervisors within maintenance towards people of color. No one of color will ever be given a chance to move up unless changes are made. It’s easy to learn how people are treated at this place of employment; just go sit in a break room and listen to the comments being made or the words being said

Pros

Good people to work with. great work life balance and flex schedule. Had the best boss I've ever worked for in my career at this company.

Cons

Really demotivational work environment. Company going down the drain and it showed around the office. Several years we went without raises due to company debt. The outsourced all the IT without notice one day. Company perks began to be taken away. Eventually declared bankruptcy.

- Job security - people routinely stay with the company for many years, even decades. - Decent bonuses - annual incentives are higher than I've experienced elsewhere. - Room to move around - People here, engineers especially, often transfer within Luminant to gain higher pay and improve their skills. - Predicatble - except for certain careers, or during (rare) unexpected events, the daily routine is very manageable and predictable.

Cons

- Severe lack of innovation and adaptation to a changing marketplace. - Technology is stuck in the past: don't expect to be using a version of MS Office less than 4 years old. The same goes for most other business-related technology.
