Failing startup, lot's of competition, no great product

Pros

Remote work and a cool industry

Cons

No new business, not renewing previous clients, subpar product/solution. Cash seems to be a concern because of all the layoffs and people leaving on their own. Morale is at an all-time low. It's hard to imagine this company turning things around at all.

Unstable and not able to deliver

Pros

Most of the ICs are great people.

Cons

No job security. 3 different rounds of layoffs, and not just due to current market conditions. If you are not friends with the CEO, or an OG (the 25 year olds who have been at the company the longest) you are essentially just a cost burden and will be cut the second the company needs to become profitable. The problem is, the company is not profitable and doesn’t have an actual path to profitability without laying off over 50% of its staff. Product and engineering can’t deliver fast enough and the market will catch up. If you like uncontrolled chaos, ever changing company goals, zero job security, and well under market pay, this place is for you.
