Pros

Most tech leaders are ok. They might not be the most experienced in the field (hence strategy is a mess) but they are willing to listen to you.

Cons

- Other leaders are ruthless, lack humility, and are commanding not nurturing. - The company does not handle uncomfortable situations properly. - A leader got fired but it's kept "hush-hush". - The company is still establishing a lot of practices. - Too many products, all trying to find product-market fit - Very messy - Product culture is weak - Feels top-down.

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us. We appreciate and value your inputs as an employee. In Lyte, the welfare of our employees has always been our key priority, and we are committed to creating a safe and collaborative environment for all. As we continuously grow and evolve as a company in a fast changing industry, we recognise that there are times where changes are necessary in order for us to offer the right product that is needed for the community. It has been ingrained in our culture to have the leadership team provide a nurturing and open culture for everyone to learn and grow together. Having many people in our team today with diverse backgrounds, views and culture does not make it easier, but we are committed to keep trying and bringing the best out of an already wonderful team. As leaders, we have regular leadership trainings to steadily grow together to a higher level of management skill, have regular open and honest conversations with our team members, and take necessary actions to address any concerns should our team members share them with us. Thank you for sharing your experience, we do appreciate it and will discuss further internally on how to manage this.

Pros

Founders are humble, eager to learn, iterate, and figure things out together. They hire the best people they can find, caring deeply about culture-fit, value alignment, and competency.

Cons

Processes, and plans can be somewhat unclear. Assumptions seem to change quickly, and plans can sometimes appear to be unstable causing frustrations to the folks trying to execute them.

Pros

- People are nice and approachable - There are weekly meetups between teams and across functions to keep everyone up to date with latest developments - Dev teams run based on SCRUM, so you have a clear idea and goal to work towards - Leaders are approachable - Monthly townhalls lets you ask any questions to CEO and founders - Many colleagues from overseas. - Good work-life balance, as least for me as a dev. Leaders do really care about not having you burnout.

Cons

- Startup culture, no clear directions and path on the product I'm working on. (There is a stable product team, but I'm working on an experiment product.) - We're always experimenting and making changes, which might be frustrating or less motivating to some. - Things and directions can change within months.
