Pros
This is a Christian organization, and professing your faith is a requirement of employment. If you are Christian, you will find a sense of belonging and purpose that is vanishingly rare in any kind of normal job. It had more of a family church feeling than anything else. Some folks had been part of the MAF family for generations.
Cons
Given the long-term commitment displayed by many, if you had not served in a missionary capacity you could find yourself somewhat excluded. The old-school philosophy and resistance to change leaves MAF somewhat vulnerable in the modern world.
