MARTA is a very large mix of great opportunities to test your level of professionalism and ability to excel in the midst of complex challenges. MARTA would help many external employees appreciate their current jobs.

Cons

MARTA is a rumor mill and an organization that holds its customers to a standard that it does not hold its employees, especially its leadership, to. Senior management routinely engages the use of expletives and hostile language towards each other and their subordinates. MARTA also has a problem with misappropriating financial resources via contract employees, salaries for friends, and false reporting of the organizations financial standing.

Executive management is comprised of too many individuals in critical positions who lack the skills required to perform adequately and who have no long-term vested interest in the welfare of the company and are more concerned with resume building than improving the company. CEO's concerns are more with public image than actual substance. Fear of backlash from weak union leadership too often drives decision-making to the long-term detriment of the company. Because strong leadership is not valued, supported or shown respect, current executive management is breeding a culture of mediocrity.
