Pros

You don't have to worry about any latest technology or learning anything new. If you know asp.net & windows forms that's enough for you. The project is very big, PM/Lead will tell where to write the code & from where you can get similar kind of code. no self-development stress or training.

Cons

1. Alternate Saturday working. where most of the company has Saturday Sunday off. 2. They divide your CTC into 13 part & 12 part they give you a monthly salary & 13th part they give at the time of appraisal, they won't mention this 13th part in your offer letter or anywhere, so at time of changing company your CTC already (100/13)8% less. 3. In notice period they will block 2 months of your salary & no leaves and forget your 13th part salary. 4. You "have to" complete 42.5/49 hours in a week. 5. Only 12 Leaves per year, after 2 years 15 & after 5 years 20. 6. Total Ad hoc work, No Planning. Although the company is product base but works like the service based company, Whatever client say just implement it. No product vision. Product code base is 20 years old, so if you change or implement a new feature or fix a bug, another bug will come up (product is very vast so it will take years to understand entire product). 7. Working culture is very bad, PM always shouting at someone, They hide their mistake as "false alarm" & they glorify others mistake. They scold you in front of the entire team, Total lack of professionalism. no motivation. 8. No freedom, Program manager/project manager calculate every minute where you going, when you come in, how many minutes you spend in drinking tea, coffee, break. 9. No matter how good you are, at time of Appraisal they will say "After 3 year of completion in this company they will give you big hike, 3 year means you prove you are loyalty to company.", seriously appraisal is very very less compared to other companies. no rewards for your hard work. 10. You can't complain hire manager for PM's behavior because they are here for more than 10 years. so you have no option to leave the company. 11. They hire developer by saying they are moving their product to ASP.NET MVC & Angular, but once you come in they throw you into Windows Forms. After that, they will say "It doesn't matter to Client if the product is in Angular or ASP.NET, we are taking business decision to not move in Angular".

Pros

MBAF is a really good environment to work in. Good benefits and flexible schedules outside of busy season.

Cons

Unfortunately on the audit side, there is is only one group in the Miami/Ft Lauderdale office that care about their staff and put in the necessary time to teach. The rest of the groups provide absolutely no work/life balance, no teaching methods, and make accounting more boring than it already is. There is a director working there that has gotten absolute terrible reviews as a superior, yet management does nothing to improve.

Pros

Very collegial environment among staff. They are very welcoming to new staff. The firm tries to make busy season enjoyable with after-hours firm events and necessary trainings. In spite of my comments below, I do think that HR is trying to make the firm an enjoyable place to work. I think Tony truly cares about the future of the firm, but is in a position that he is surrounded by yes (wo)men who are too afraid to tell him about the political BS that his partners are committing on the firm in the name of self preservation and paychecks.

Cons

The firm tries to give the appearance of concern for employees which sometime comes off as insincere, although much of the time it is sincere. They place too much focus 'Best Places to Work' surveys and not enough on actual employee concerns. Your career's success is dependent on the Partner that you work for. Does your partner specialize in an area that you don't but they like you, then you aren't switching specialties to your chosen specialty. Most people leave the firm because they do not feel that are being listened to. I've seen people leave at all levels because of this. Close to the lowest PTO in town, PTO only, no sick/personal days. Benefits are awful and health insurance is a joke unless you are young AND healthy with no dependents.
