Thank you for your feedback regarding our organization being perceived as "still too young to build up professionals." We understand the importance of professional growth and development here at MERGE. To address this, we have implemented a new manager certification program, various learning and development opportunities to support our employees in advancing their careers, and more recently a public speaking/presentation skills training workshop. We are committed to nurturing talent and providing resources for continuous growth and success, and we recommend reaching out to your manager or the Talent team at talent@mergeworld.com to learn more about these opportunities.

Pros

Learn to self-manage and work quickly

Cons

Leadership, office culture, processes, lack of respect for employees. If you're a girl, males in senior leadership are really creepy.

As a woman that has worked at AVID/MERGE for 8 years, I'd like to say that I have always felt my opinions/work are valued and respected. And in a very transparent work environment, I feel entirely comfortable voicing both positive and negative opinions. Every workplace has opportunities to improve, and I am pleased to see how strongly we are working at continuous improvement. Meredith Rose, VP Content Services

Pros

Good benefits and a very nice working location with great snacks.

Cons

Where do we start? I interviewed, really liked the social media team, took the job and moved to a new city. My first day, my leader quit. They didn't replace that position so I was on an island for weeks until they put me under someone who had no real knowledge of social media. It was very clear that this department did not want to be bothered with social media. My work was often dismissed and diminished with phrases like "social media is not rocket science". There's absolutely no process. Nobody knows anything about social media and they use people's skills to appease the client with no real KPIs, just checking boxing to keep fires out. Funny thing, there's a fire almost everyday b/c the process is that there is no process. Every client is doing something different and they have at least 30 different platforms that nobody knows how to use. There's 0 training, you have to learn the platforms on your own with no help then you are absolutely crucified if you make a mistake. Clients essentially run every single employee insane and leadership allows it. They don't post or create content based on best practice, they post based on when the CEOs are looking at social. I was told the agency couldn't "sustain" me and they gave me 30 days to find a new job then played it out to everyone that I resigned. The culture and values are nonexistent. Nobody cares if you're doing a good job, but make a mistake you're public enemy #1. Lots of lying and shady sneaky things going on. You can't trust a single soul there.
