Pros

Your immediate team will be ace.

Cons

People who say this company is fast paced are saying so under duress: fast paced is code for unreasonably high workload with phenomenally insufficient recognition or remuneration. The bullying and office politic is is almost impressive in its effectiveness for making people the CEO doesn't love in rhe moment be absolytely on the outer. If you play the game you can succeed (like all companies). Just don't be bold enough to have a baby. Your job will disappear

Pros

- Opportunities to work with talented colleagues who are passionate about their work. - A chance to contribute to projects aimed at making a positive impact on women and girls. - Access to a range of creative and media-related projects that can enhance your skill set. - The people who work at Mamamia are on the whole wonderful people, true friendships are often developed

Cons

- The leadership style is driven by fear and favoritism, creating an uneven playing field and eroding trust. -The company does not respect the right to disconnect law, leading to expectations of availability well beyond reasonable working hours, including days off. - Despite marketing itself as a flexible workplace, there is a strong emphasis on being in the office four days a week, which feels at odds with modern workplace trends and their projected values of flexibility. - Maternity leave policies are disappointing. Employees must wait two years to access even the minimum eight weeks of paid leave, which seems at odds with the company's mission to support women and girls. - Staffing decisions often lead to employees taking on multiple roles, with backfilling positions significantly delayed. This results in extended working hours, with little to no support for those raising concerns about burnout. - Leadership demonstrates outdated views on media strategies, such as an aversion to programmatic advertising, which can hinder innovation. - The executive leadership team (ELT) often can be seen as hyper fixated on short term goals, often lacking long term vision. Frequently taking products to market that have not been fleshed out or reasonably resourced. - The executive leadership team (ELT) has been observed engaging in unprofessional behaviour, including gossip and favoritism, which undermines transparency and credibility. - Distinct Lack of gender balance offering little to no diversity

Pros

The coffee downstairs is really good. Theres a 'free table' where unwanted and used beauty care products are placed, for you to take home.

Cons

Horrendous management Zero career movement. HR is an absolute mess, so is the hiring process. Senior management do not communicate Way too many cooks Poor leadership No movement/promotion or career path/no future (unless you are related to someone that works there) The office smells like faeces. (no really) On the outside Mamamia looks great, do not work here. You will regret it.
