      Pros

One of the best things about MRO was the people, and the “one team” philosophy. I always felt like we were all pulling in the same direction and took pride in the work of the company. Also, lots of opportunities to interact with (and maybe even move into) different roles within the company.

      Cons

Lagging behind in base salary and seemed unwilling to make adjustments, even for well ranked employees.

Unrealistically low staffing levels and compensation

      Pros

I have met some of the nicest colleagues I have ever known at Marathon.

      Cons

Marathon cannot retain employees. The turn over is 40%+ in some departments. Marathon no longer grants LTI to non-managers and cannot compete with other oil and gas companies for employees. They are not willing to consider non-monetary changes and accommodations to retain high performing employees.
