You get to work in a wonderful place, your food and accommodation are paid for (Whilst this might get monotonous you are looked after well you are not at home). You meet some exciting and energetic people. If you like the energy of working with kids and planning lots of exciting water based sessions which will build on your sailing expertise, this really is the place for you. If you think you will just run adult course or hate working with kids, don't bother applying . Kids are the heart of the operation
Cons
Petty theft of vital personal protective equipment. If it doesn't get stolen by someone it WILL be returned to you broken. Safety equipment should be vital to running a water based business. It's just a shame that many of the new recruits and some very senior managers do not see it like this. Equipment is substandard or needs replacement and the ones ultimately making the decisions to buy suitable equipment are land based . They often don't understand what is required on the water, and so purchase the wrongs things . Often some land based departments are getting priority of water based equipment that is compromising water safety. Locally the site managers will monitor your every move, intrusively photographic you , The locals will also tell you who you can and can not date. You are living in a gilded cage.
