One of the biggest concerns at MarketsandMarkets is the lack of a transparent and structured performance mapping system. Even when an individual or team performs well, promotions and appraisals often do not appear to be directly linked to actual performance or contribution. There are no clearly defined SOPs or measurable criteria for performance reviews, which creates uncertainty and frustration among employees. Performance reviews and appraisal cycles are also frequently delayed. Last year, the appraisal process was delayed by nearly six months, and similar delays are being observed this year as well. Even when the company is performing well, management often seems to find reasons to avoid giving fair promotions or meaningful salary revisions. Earlier, the company culture was much better and more employee-friendly. However, over time, the culture has deteriorated significantly, especially in terms of employee recognition, career growth, transparency, and fairness in performance evaluation.
