-Being able to help clients with their struggles -The good days with clients -Good support from team members

Cons

-Not enough pay for the job -Extremely physically and emotionally demanding -Leaving work with bruises -Lack of support from upper management -Breaks are not able to be given most of the time due to low staffing -High turnover rate due to reasons listed above

Making a difference in kids lives, great co-workers

Cons

Very un-professional work environment, upper management is filled with gossip and talk of employees personal lives. Promotions are not based on merit. Not accepting of other viewpoints or opinions. Big gap between workers who are actually directly working with the youth and those who are in positions of power to make decisions that regard the youth

Maryhurst Administration will make it utterly difficult for you to really make any change for any child. They're a horrible organization to work for and I would never go back.

A recent staff survey, conducted by an outside professional group, resulted in very high scores for Maryhurst as an employer. Exit surveys also show this. While the work is very stressful, all of our data shows that employees feel very supported by their supervisor and other members of management.
