Pros

startup environment and growth potential

Cons

Dodge/unethical industry/company; growth build on shaky ground as there is currently no regulations for online scammers from government; no serious measures against scammers for fear of losing customers. Management only care about sales, and don't pay any attention to customer complaints unless it's a PR crisis.

Pros

Fun parties, decent pay and benefits, potentially interesting work, some people are actually ok to work with. It's all about the algorithms.

Cons

Notice how all the responses to the postings sound like they were written by a robot? Not very warm for a place that is supposed to be all about love. It's not about love. It's about money and nothing more. Most of our days are spent developing half baked ideas to trick or deceive our users. Once we get their credit card number, they are on their own. Don't believe me? Check out our Better Business Bureau (BBB) score. It's an F. A freaking F! All the robot responses in the world can't gloss over the fact that we rip people off. Don't raise it as an issue though! That's a quick trip to the HR office. I remember the recruiter with the creepy smile walking me by all these "success stories" printed out for all to see. I soon learned that our success rate for people finding love is like .01%. Good luck finding love! Be warned. Whole development teams have been wiped out. On a whim. All because some Microsoft reject sold in the idea of an unified API. What a cluster that is. I'm actively looking. Too many people just disappear and no one says anything, only gossip and back stab. Can't wait to get out!

By robot, do you mean C-3PO? If so that’s awesome. In all seriousness, we’re bummed to hear you feel this way. Feel free to reach out to the HR team directly, so we can get to the bottom of your problem.

Pros

Casual dress code and free snacks.

Cons

Senior management participated in an illegal study which included requesting employees to intentionally harass me at work and install spyware on my work computer. They lied about it after being confronted and then forcibly removed me from the organization and refused to provide me a report of their findings after denying their participation. They're still trying to cover it up to this day. If you have information about this study or have been a victim of IAC's or Match.com's additional illegal activities. Definitely contact an attorney and begin recording every conversation you have in person with them. What's even more alarming was that I was a Senior Security Engineer. Senior management had their own IT Security teams install rootkits on my company provided laptop to not only log all my keystrokes they even began intentionally turning off my display to get me to have an outburst in the department so that I would leave.
