Not bad

Pros

I personally have an awesome manager

Cons

Hate that we’re paid “based on other factories around”. We face more hazards and more challenges unlike anyone else. Promoted from hourly to salary in the same department and pay is actually less than hourly.

Pros

As much overtime as you want for the most part. Managers and supervisors are great Decent pay for what you do. Great opportunities to move up

Cons

Having to be forced to do overtime due to lack of people. Lazy people. You’ll work with lazy people. I think it’s a conservative Ohio thing in the area. Racism from the workers.

Pros

Good salary. Big title. Big office. Company doing well from pandemic impact on business. Working hard to move from mom and pop to something more structured,

Cons

Old school command and control hierarchy. Interview was literally the last time I was "allowed" to communicate upward. Daily cadence of multiple update meetings pushing sales and operations for unrealistic results. Manager routinely pushing for what he called a "junk yard dog" approach to driving the team.

Pros

Ok pay, brewers tickets, museum and zoo pass, great people, longevity in employees because they do not want to take a pay cut, vacation and PTO

Cons

If you not of European descent, you will never have the opportunity to become a manager or supervisor. They will promote an European descendant regardless if they are qualified or not.

Pros

You will learn a lot in a fast paced environment.

Cons

The plant manager is toxic and created a very divisive environment. She is terribly condescending, rude, manipulative, and bad mouths others.

Pros

Minimal supervision, no one breathing down your back. Pretty decent coworkers. Safety is a top priority. If you're working on the administration/management/maintenance side, this place will probably be decent for you if you can overlook pay. If you're working in production, look somewhere else. You'll be underappreciated, underpaid, looked over, and made to feel like you're incompetent. It's not the worst place by any means but there's probably better.

Cons

Lots of overtime. Very old, rundown equipment. Extensive PPE use. Poor communication. Management is not involved enough (bit of a pro and con). If managers have a problem with your performance they don't tell you themselves, you just find out that they've been talking about you behind your back. Lot of false promises from management. Not much upward mobility. Tension between shifts.

Pros

Friendly, Values Family, flexibility with work hours and remote work options, strong safety programs, and a focus on employee development.

Cons

Poor Management, inexperience and no support in the supply chain team. Information is never consistent between coworkers. My manager spent most of his time playing and poking fun at team members.

Pros

Plenty of opportunity to grow in your position with a growing company. Direct managers are very helpful and want you to help you succeed. No micromanagement unless absolutely needed. Quarterly company meeting with C-Level execs discuss previous quarter and future goals. They are open to Q&A as well.

Cons

There can be confusion between departments as to "who's job it is to do this"

Pros

Pay ok, vacation ok, PTO ok

Cons

Unfair treatment of African Americans , will not promote African Americans, will not work with employees with schedules, many have been on the same schedule for years, they are making them change their times without consideration of their lives with the shift they were hired on, new plant manager doesn’t have kids so she doesn’t care if you have kids and have to make arrangements to take care of them, allows managers to place blame on other employees and get them suspended.

Pros

summer hours, generally nice coworkers, understanding management in relation to family/health situations, decent benefits, holiday parties, employee appreciation week, hybrid work schedule

Cons

understaffed, little to no training - training provided is very general and doesn't apply to all roles but is required monthly, large workloads (often doing the job that should be done by multiple people), take the heat for other unresponsive departments, management only reactive to concerns when they are taking heat, everyone has different understanding processes, ask if you need support but cannot provide any, management knows they are overloading employees and still harp on metrics which determine bonuses, you do the workload of multiple people but don't get paid for it. Managment talks about employees health and medical issues or tell other employees what is going on when you are out of the office. My coworkers should never be aware of my reason for being out sick. Account Managers are condescending and try and throw CSRs under the bus for things that are not "in their court" such as they know you are waiting on information from planning that you cannot get a response on, instead of also taking to planning to help get an answer they cc your boss and say "this has taken a week!" without mentioning your constant follow up to try and get an answer.
