Pros

Clean, well-maintained office. Benefits are substantial. There are perks to working for the company. You can make good friends and communication within the office is pretty open. They also use up to date software and hardware. Owner does not skimp when it comes to the office environment.

Cons

What a weird atmosphere to work in. Previous employees have described working here as being in a cult, and there is some truth the that. The owner believes himself to be some sort of paragon. Granted, he is very charismatic. He presents himself well and is very convincing. However, he expects you to believe as he believes, and to think how he thinks. Keep your opinions to yourself and never have a dissenting idea. That will not be tolerated. In fact, holding your own beliefs may be grounds for dismissal. Be Christian, as well. Mark often disparages other religions during company meetings. And he has his followers, devotees who hang on his every word and will not hesitate to inform on any employee they suspect does not share the wisdom and feelings of their great leader. Leadership believes in Money = Knowledge and Talent. If you have a high income, you must be a great thinker and more talented than anyone else. There are some staggeringly ignorant leaders who parade around the office as if they are some kind of nobility. Speaking of nobility, nepotism is alive and well at Matson Money.
