A soul destroying period of employment, rife with bullying and racism.
Pros
Free medicines, which were supposed to go to destruction but were distributed to staff. The IT equipment improved over the 4 years, from archaic machines to more recent infrastructure. The savage air conditioning was a boon at the height of summer, giving arctic like working conditions.
Cons
Awful pay - despite being promised a salary review for taking on extra tasks this did not happen and I was paid, despite being on a higher job grade, much less than some administration grade employees. There was, and in all likelihood there still is, an Ingrained culture of bullying - this was evident from Director level employees down to temps. There was evidence of enmity towards members of the Gypsy community, voiced with senior management were present, and no sanctions were levied. Several instances of management ostracizing employees, targeting them unfairly and bullying them, were witnessed. Of three instances, where a complaint was levied, action against management was nil, while the lower grade staff were pushed further out - leading to each one leaving the company.
