Pros

You at least get to see how poor your pay is.

Cons

Being a disbursement officer in textile Centre at level 5 was an absolute nightmare. They only seem to care about pushing you to work until you drop dead, without even approving overtime . They overload you with work, leaving no time for breaks or compensation for extra hours worked. When you depart on schedule, they don't exactly throw a celebration. It's as if there's an unspoken rule: complete every last task before you even think of leaving, otherwise, there is this lady I called her the queen of criticism, will have a field day pointing out what you've left behind. And if she ever scolds me, my ever-supportive supervisor, is quick to chime in, while my other co worker jumps on the bandwagon with her little digs: "Oh look, someone couldn't finish their work again." So, do they expect people to work well past closing time without a single extra penny, just so I can finally clock out? Oh, and just to clarify, there are occasions when the workload is so overwhelming that even staying late won't make a dent in it. If I were to describe that queen of criticism, she's the epitome of grumpiness, with a face that just screams "unpleasant."

Pros

The people are nice, friendly which makes the working environment great. Benefits such as mobile, but very low, many days of annual leave but not in comparison to other banks, there’s 2 weeks marriage leave as well if you’re getting married. 2 days of family care leave if not entitled to child care leave. Others such as flexi money, which is okay not substantial.

Cons

Terrible at staff retention, does not remunerate loyal staff with expected increments. Expects staff to take on higher positions and responsibilities for months before giving them official promotion. Lower management has poor skills in managing staff, systems all very backward, backend staff very unwilling to assist with change. Junior staff are paid more than senior due to “past experience” = age, which leads to junior staff not promoting even though they do the same amount of work. Medical not covered: part of flexi money which is a few hundred if you’re an executive. (Which is not comparable to industry (bank & FIs) standard)
