Pros

I really enjoyed my time with Medisca. Management on the sales side is great. My direct manager, national sales manager and sales director we’re all very positive, innovative and sales and results focused. Vacation/time off were good perks

Cons

Compensation was a little on the lower side of the industry if you work in a sales capacity.

Pros

You might get lucky and work with good people on your team.

Cons

Where do I begin? Management is awful. None of them care about the employees or anyone under them at all. If you are not part of the clique, you are not important. The owner of the company savagely eviscerated a sales associate for asking a simple question about innovation. The company and senior management wants to know why no one speaks up or asks questions anymore and that is why. The sales teams are the backbone (management often says this too) but are treated with no respect. Other departments get away with not responding to emails/calls but sales has to respond or we get called out and the situation gets escalated. It is a ridiculous and toxic work environment. The same people get promotions it seems multiple times a year and “new” positions are created just for them since they are part of the clique I previously mentioned. They need to stop hindering current employees. They need to do more internal promotions. Inflation is rapidly rising and they turn a blind eye. Commission payouts have dropped, quotas have increased, pricing has increased, margins have increased, but pay is stagnant. No doubt management treats themselves to nice bonuses. The Canadians brag about 3 weeks of vacation time they get when US employees only get 2 weeks. The people in charge seem to only care about business in Canada anymore. They claim the US is where the most sales come from but seem more focused on being a big deal in Canada. They are losing a lot of employees in the US that have been here for years due to ridiculous demands and low pay and losing newer employees because they just don’t care and it’s obvious. At medsica you should be lucky to have a job. The mindset here is you can leave and we don’t care cause we still get our money. Don’t even get me started on the micromanaging, it makes me sick thinking about it and it would make you sick too. The listening in on every phone call you make has to stop. Some management have nothing better to do than micromanage and listen to phone calls and read your emails. Toxic toxic toxic but nothing changes.
