1 - Unfair distribution of projects to each staff. Only good and efficient staff are loaded with projects to handle. Lazy and inefficient ones still kept in the company. 2 - Directors to engineers ratio is about 1:2 only. Engineers report to at least 4 to 5 directors at one time due to lack of engineers. Very tight datelines which makes it a miserable place to work. S pass quota a major issue for manpower growth. 3 - No bonus for the past few years makes your hardwork worthless. Total year remuneration is below market rate compared with other consulting firms. 4 - Project cost always overrun and fee payment from clients were always delayed probably due to poor management level. 5. If you are a site staff, never expect to get paid on time. Directors' salary could be delayed by 1 or 2 months sometimes if there are no cashflow.

Pay wise is not very competitive among the big construction consultants. You tend to stuck at doing a similar role over and over again. For example, junior will always be doing design in office. Request to follow seniors/directors to attend site/progress meetings is always rejected. Always rushing and focusing on "deliver" drawings. No standard office design procedures/checklist for design. Young fresh engineers are lost, some important considerations might missed out.
