      Autonomy and modern tech, but fast-paced environment

      Pros

      - Real autonomy and ownership. Engineers are trusted to spot problems and drive solutions end-to-end. "Go Bold" isn't just a wall poster — proposing and running your own initiatives is genuinely rewarded, not blocked. - One of the more serious AI bets I've seen in an eng org. Strong, leadership-backed investment in LLM tooling and AI agents for everyday engineering. You get real room (and budget) to build with the latest models, not just slideware. - Modern stack and problems that matter. Cloud-native (GCP / Kubernetes / Terraform / Datadog), real scale, and platform/reliability work with visible business impact.

      Cons

      Fast, churny pace. With the AI push especially, tools and priorities shift fast, what you built a few months ago can already be obsolete. It rewards high intrinsic motivation but can be tiring.

      Pros

      I personally have had a great experience at Mercari. The leadership has always valued my ideas and has guided me in the right direction since my joining. Wherever my ideas dont work, they respectfully share the context as to why. The 3 days work from home also gives me so much flexiblity to focus on both professional and personal

      Cons

      I dont like that the office is moving now. Given that ORR is always chocka-blocked, moving the location away in further towards Kadubeesanalli will take away a lot of our time on commute.
