The Company to Work For if You Don't Want to Enjoy Work

Pros

Most work schedules are better for people who want to work with food that do not want to work restaurant hours (weekends, holidays, evenings).

Cons

Mediocrity and bad behavior are frequently rewarded while hard working employees just get more work added on (for no extra pay). I've seen racist employees chasing down school students, managers stealing equipment and product, managers sleeping at the job, and managers/employees who are utterly incapable of doing a proper job. Not only do you get admonished for bringing this up, but the worst of the worst are usually promoted or given awards/gratitude. Bad behavior is never punished. Very few people in the multiple Metz Accounts I've worked at have a neutral attitude, let alone a positive one. Most of the managers and upper management cultivate a nasty, negative work environment and you will dread going into work each day. If pursuing management, you will be expected to go help other accounts and are likely to receive zero help from anyone. Your superiors will not care. If you get help from anyone, they will try to take all of the credit even if they contribute 10% of the overall work. You will also likely be working 60-70 hours a week with a crap salary as a reward. From personal experience, when you decide to leave, you will be asked to stay longer to train the new manager who will make more than you.

Pros

Very few. You are told how great things are but in all reality it’s s very demanding job with no respect

Cons

Poor corporate management. Each visit you get chewed out from what previous visit told you to do. Corporate has no idea on what the right compared to the left hand is doing. They don’t care about their employees. There is no life/work balance. Upper management will not lead. Will not back unit level management up. They tell you one thing and the account client another

Pros

There are no pros they sell you dreams and lie to your face and once you’re employed they do as they please! Like you’re a piece of property!

Cons

Metz won the contract at the school district of HARRISBURG or I worked for four years. They had a meeting two months before they started promising us. They would offer us, comparable benefits, our jobs, schedules, hours, and pay wouldn’t change. Immediately they tried to cut my pay by $30,000. They moved my schedule to daytime. They took all vacation and sick time. And the comparable benefits that they offered at the same tier of the previous employer, which, for Mets, was actually a higher deductible, lower benefits, and a higher maximum out-of-pocket. And that was across the board vision and dental long term short term, prescriptions everything. So if I took comparable benefits, same tear as a previous employer, it would’ve cost me $670 a month when I was previously paying 310 for way better coverage lower lower deductible’s the whole 9 yards. And on top of that because they were unable to hire people because clearly people know Metz is a bad name they were forcing me to do work that was not my in job description.
