Nice office and remote work, but leadership issues abound

- Remote work - Office is nice with free drinks

Cons

- CTO doesnt know much about AI, but gives the impression that she does. - Non-technical people dont understand the limitations of AI, and will want the DS and AI Engineers to work miracles with little to no data - Project manager doesnt understand how data science works, and gets quite aggressive when deadlines have to be pushed back - HR is quite heartless, and will terminate people just before big life changes (retirement, maternity/paternity) - New CEO doesnt really understand the company, and is mainly just there for them to IPO before planning to leave.

- strong product that's improving quickly - good culture within some teams - many tenured staff working hard to support a wave of new staff coming in the last 18 months - good perks, WFH, exciting industry

Cons

- internal promotion is non-existent, dozens of senior senior hires not posted internally at all, carousel of leadership changes is exhausting - siloed workforce with minimal collaboration - heavy virtual meeting culture hasn't evolved since COVID, many staff and leaders have 30+ hrs/wk of recurring calls, monthly 8 hour sales call is ridiculous
