Pros

Good pantry staff and food!

Cons

Horrible hierarchy, bad work culture - if you're an RJ/ producer they want to make you a "star" and expect you to be at their beck and call 7 days a week without any compensatory offs or extra payment. There's also barely any training given. The company does not want you to grow because if you get too big you will be able to dictate terms to them.

The biggest mistake of my career.

Pros

Work here if you want to destroy your career and mental health. People working at Radio Mirchi will tell you that 'everyone who leaves the organisation joins a better place', and it's true. Radio Mirchi is managed by a bunch of old hypocrites who pretend to create a 'fun and open brand', while being the most regressive, non-creative, dominating and useless individuals who are still at Mirchi because no other brand will touch them with a 15 feet stick.

Cons

I have always taken my learnings from every career change, but I'll regret joining here forever. If you are a creative or ambitious person in any way, you'll hurt yourself mentally and financially by joining here. If you replaced the top management with a bunch of fish, they would do a better job. The management will squeeze every ounce of mental and physical capacity you will ever have while pretending to be cool, open and friendly. Even when pretending to be who they are not, they will subconsciously display a juvenile sense of fake entitlement. They pat themselves on each other's backs to make the brand sound cool, while the brand is going to garbage every single day. They know that even people in cars don't listen to the brand anymore but they will shout at you every day to drown the noise of their collective failure. Most of the top and regional management has worked here for years because they are too talentless and self-righteous to be accepted anywhere else. Because they have zero creativity of their own, they will suck out every creative juice you ever have until you become a talentless nightmare, just like them. The RJs think of themselves to be glorified celebrities who nobody cares about or knows in reality. They pretend to be a voice to listen to, but nobody listens to them even if paid to do so. In my time there, I got more hate for the RJs from the public than for anyone else. I felt like I had to serve the RJs like a butler to make sure that they gave me the favour of working every day. Work here if you want to be unheard, overworked, squeezed and blamed for anything going wrong. Most people here exist by either trying to pass on their work to someone else, or by complaining so much that someone has to do their job for them. I respect brands that fail and work from their failures. Radio Mirchi is a brand that failed a long time ago and is proudly digging its own dirt every passing day.

Pros

None that i can think of

Cons

Tall claims of being employee friendly, open organization etc, none of which is true. The CEO himself is such a manipulative person, who will write an email with the subject line " Keep your chin up - the worst is over" and then the letter will convey the worst message any employee would want to hear. Such a horrible thing to do, Mr. Prashant Pandey. Salary cuts informed 2 days before the salary hits your account, layoff's with a misleading email subject line. No benefits to employees whatsoever. This is how the best Media House in India; No.1 Radio Station in the country deals with its employees. Horrible office politics, favoritism and prejudice.
