predecessor sat at his desk for three years on an at will contract. if you think the “moma family,” includes the design personnel that they can take advantage of professionally, you’d be wrong. it’s the same as every agency. lots of “haha another day all the designers are late” faire with no help from incompetent and unhip AD. His stable of fast fashion swifties will embarrass you to death as they say stuff like they’ve never even been in a design class. i’ve told all the designers i can to stay away from this place. if your number one dream is to throw a stroke around a frutiger font like it’s 2015 while accepting the worst contracts ever, this is your place!

Design staff that cant design, only work from previously made documents.

The people who work on the frontline's are absolutely amazing. My coworkers and the art were the best parts about this job. It is the people who are working onsite everyday that keep this place operating!

Cons

Senior Management and HR are a bit of a mess. They are so disconnected from its employees who are working on site everyday. Even Department management is so checked out, they have no idea what is happening and do not take the time to get to know their employees. HR and the Museum seem more concerned about being sued by someone for something, rather than taking the time to listen to their employees and responding to negative feedback.

This review is specifically of the store within the museum. Great benefits, love the coworkers and most managers, ample vacation, good discount.

No room for growth, the main store manager would criticize staff instead of focusing on positive qualities, did not feel supported, nothing I did was ever enough. The other assistant managers were great.
