Pros
- Young office culture, making it a seamless transition from college - Constant training and upskilling
Cons
- VERY low pay, and terrible commission structure (I started a new job and made more commission in 3 months than I did in my 2 years at Motion) - Poor sales strategy and advice - You will be cold calling all day. They promise "hot" leads, but those are leads you generate and are still technically cold. - You will be siloed. When hired, you join a specific recruitment team under the guise that you become an expert in that tech vertical. If you join a bad vertical, you will struggle to get traction. Also, that means if you get a new client but they hire for someone else's market, you have to pass that to a different team and you get zero credit. They promise "cross pollination" between teams but again, if you are in a bad vertical you will get no pass overs. In 2 years I gave away 10+ deals to other teams, and got 0 back. - Micromanagement is crazy. Two check-in meetings per day to discuss progress, what you've done, and what your plan is. They track your numbers like crazy. I thought this was normal until I left and realized it is possible to be treated like an adult.
