Pros

Fully paid for tuition. “Unlimited” Vacation days but it’s at the discretion of your manager

Cons

Everything. Half the people here are related so if moving up is what you desired, then good luck if you’re not related to anyone. And speaking of, people keep getting covid because there’s so many anti maskers including management and add to the fact that half these people are related, covid spreads like wildfire. We basically had to beg management and HR to let non shop floor folks work remote to help contain. If you’re in desperate need of a job then yeah I guess but this place wore you out mentally. Get ready to be yelled out every morning at 8am, esp sourcing meetings. Everyone is rude. Lastly outside of the shop, there’s a huge lack of diversity (not just racially but diversity of thought. Huge group think mentality) and it doesn’t seem to be priority. If you’re a woman, you’ll likely be catcalled on the shop floor and nothing will be done about it. No raises last year and a measly “bonus” meanwhile the company made $$$$ profits in 2020 and leadership got a nice fat bonus.

Pros

Been in business a long time and they offer tuition reimbursement for higher education which is a great resource

Cons

Average pay, no matter how hard you work or how well you perform the pay only increases through progression raises. There is no incentives for working hard and doing the right things. If a guy has been there 10 years and you 5 usually the 10 yr guy makes more just because he has more seniority

Pros

Employees of MRAS are great to work with. Everyone works hard to get the jobs done. There are so many different levels within one location. Start in manufacturing then move to different areas like composites or 5-axis milling or move up to management or design engineering or stress analysis. Skies the limit based on your commitment and work ethic.

Cons

Largest problem with MRAS is the presence of a union which causes contention and provides a safety blanket for slackers. This inhibits productivity and advancement for some of the people that should advance more quickly.
