Pros

I've been pushed but supported to develop as a professional in more ways than I can count. Smart goal setting and regular check ins have made it clear what I need to improve on and I've felt supported as I develop and grow in the business. They are proactive in supporting with career opportunity. Everyone makes mistakes at times and Mutant is the sort of place that handles them as learning opportunities. They will put support and training around you until you improve. I have been in work places where managers will scold or belittle you for mistakes and this is so much better. When I have had personal home difficulties they have been helpful and have treated it with empathy. They still expect results but they will be flexible and will give extra support as needed. Mutant has grown lots in the past few years and the profile of clients has grown lots. I've had exposure to working on some of the top brands alongside some kick-ass colleagues. The team. I've never felt this connection in a workplace before. You don't have to be everyones friend but you also can't really help it as they are all so genuine and welcoming. And while I don't know them all but it seems like they have the same culture in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Cons

Honestly nothing I can really write home about. At times it can get busy or stressful but never in a sustained way that feels unbearable. If I have a busy couple of months management will often flag it with me and proactively help to lighten the load.

Pros

- Trust and guidance. They actually trust the team to deliver. There is support when it's wanted but very little micro management. If I've made a mistake they might step in and manage closer until they have faith in you again but it's refreshing to see a mistake doesn't ruin your time there. It's turns into a learning and development opportunity. - Team and culture. It's a close knit team and very little politics. During CB it was tough to maintain but you could see management worked hard to ensure we kept culture and morale up. - Performance and learning. I learnt far more at Mutant than I did in twice the time in my old job. They also have a very different way of approaching clients and it's very focused on results rather than billing as much as possible.

Cons

It is performance based. They aren't afraid to have a word with you if you are not delivering. While the hours are not long the pressure can be intense. CEO has divided focus between his other company but the MD Lina Marican fills the roll well

Pros

I've worked agency before but Mutant is unique. You work hard but not it's not long hours. You are given freedom but with it comes the responsibility to deliver. It's an awesome fun culture but also one of high performance. The CEO also runs a brewery plus and always has a fully stocked private bar for the office.

Cons

The focus on freedom and creativity works for me but people from a more corporate background expecting to be told what to do every step of the day struggle. The people it works for, stay, learn and develop for years - the people who can't handle that struggle.
